BODYWORK VS MASSAGE
The reason I call myself a BODYWORKER is simple. I've been helping my clients move & function better for over 20 years. People ask what's the difference between massage & bodywork?
If you take your car into the dealer for an oil change that's like a massage, however if you're in a wreck you take it to the body shop to repair the damage!
If you feel you've been in a wreck CALL OR TEXT let STEVE straighten you out like new!

I started out doing Swedish Massage, however many clients returned with the same issues in their tissues. That's when I started to focus on bodywork to help them heal.
I have a client that broke both her ankles in a freak accident. She was in a wheelchair unable to walk after her surgery. Her doctor told her she most likely would not be able to walk again.
In less than a year of bodywork treatment she walked in her doctors office. Her doctor was amazed at her recovery, she told him she had received Bodywork.
I specialize in therapeutic bodywork, working with folks struggling with pain from recent or chronic issues in their tissues.
My clients also may have lack of mobility or other physical dysfunction. My bodywork approach is appropriate for anyone looking for non-surgical, non-medication based treatment of injuries.
If you’re experiencing pain, tension or would like to increase flexibility and performance this is the treatment for you.

My Bodywork treatments focus on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints). It is the glue that holds us all together within our bodies.
My bodywork may include deep tissue techniques such as structural integration, myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, therapeutic stretching, craniosacral therapy & sports massage.
Benefits reported from a 2010 meta-analysis in the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry found that massage modalities like deep tissue reduce stress hormone levels and heart rate while boosting mood and relaxation by triggering the release of oxytocin and serotonin.

Myofascial Release :
This bodywork technique is performed directly on skin without oils, creams or machinery. This enables me to accurately detect fascial restrictions and apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to facilitate release of the fascia. Which will often create a burning sensation in the tissue due to the release of lactic acid .
The use of Myofascial Release allows me to look at each patient as a unique individual. Promoting independence through education in proper body mechanics and movement, self treatment instruction, enhancement of strength, improved flexibility, and postural and movement awareness will support your healing between sessions.
CRANIOSACRAL:
A gentle technique that provides profoundly deep results, that works with the central nervous system and your cerebral spinal fluid. Results in creating a sense of calm to the nervous system.
This powerful technique will help ease your anxiety which reduces stress. Can relieve headaches, migraines and other nervous system symptoms.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. A highly effective method for releasing chronic stress due to misalignment, repetitive motions, & past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is very common after the treatment.
Sports Massage
This massage is a form of bodywork geared towards athletes. Swedish
Swedish Massage is the most traditional form of Western massage, and for many in the United States, it's the image associated with massage. Swedish massage, or classic massage as it’s called in some countries, is a relatively gentle massage form focused on the body's superficial layers. Great for getting your body ready for deeper work, as well as ending a bodywork session.
